Listening to Public Opinion: Findings from the Second BCSP National Survey

This session will be a moderated panel discussion featuring experts from research, policy, and public opinion polling. The session will share findings from the second administration of the BCSP’s Psychedelics Survey, highlighting key considerations for researchers and policymakers. This survey will include a set of core data elements that are the same across 2023 and 2025 along with findings from new questions that are unique for the 2025 administration. Those new questions are focused on capturing the pulse of public attitudes about current issues in psychedelics and implications for public policy at both the federal and state levels. Panelists will highlight similarities and differences across the two surveys, with a focus on new insights since 2023 and implications for action for the field. After the panel, there will be an interactive Q&A session, with the panelists providing possible discussion questions and facilitation to engage participants to engage attendees. The panelists will facilitate participants in an action-focused discussion about utilizing the findings to support changes in policy and practice at federal, state, and local levels.
