Colorado’s Legal and Cultural Psychedelic Landscape

In 2022, Colorado voters passed the groundbreaking Natural Medicine Health Act (NMHA), launching the state into the forefront of psychedelic reform. Now, with implementation actively unfolding under the guidance of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), Department of Revenue (DOR), and the Natural Medicine Advisory Board, Colorado is creating the nation’s first regulated framework for natural psychedelic facilitators and healing centers while continuing to permit access to psychedelic care under a community healing model.
