Veteran Story- Kegan Gill WarriorSide Storyteller

Kegan Gill

In 2014, I survived the fastest ejection in naval aviation history, blasted from an F/A-18 at 695 mph. What followed was a descent into a different kind of battlefield: one of shattered bones, traumatic brain injury, and soul-deep despair. Despite countless surgeries and years of conventional care, I was still broken physically, mentally, and spiritually. It wasn’t until I turned to psychedelic-assisted therapy that my true healing began. I gained access to healing indigenous medicines through Heroic Hearts Project and No Fallen Heroes. I accessed layers of pain that had remained untouched by traditional medicine. In those altered states, I didn’t just confront trauma, I reconnected with purpose, love, and life itself. The physiology of my damaged brain was restored. My story is not only about survival, but about rebirth and the power of psychedelic medicine to help veterans and others rise from the ashes.
