Psychedelics have fascinating parallels to AI – both are powerful vectors of complexity, difficult for the finite human mind to fully grasp. Both are tools that can be utilized to create potent positive change yet can also be used for harm. Both have influence over vulnerable people. How might we cultivate the wisdom to wield these godlike technologies, and why is doing so an urgent imperative? What can be learned from the current task of regulating AI ethically that might help us navigate the challenge of regulating psychedelics?
