TREAT California, a citizen-led ballot initiative, will revolutionize mental healthcare in California by safely and ethically harnessing the power of psychedelic medicines. Following the roadmap of the highly successful stem cell agency (also formed by ballot initiative), it will establish the largest psychedelic funding agency in the world. The TREAT Institute will be funded with $5 Billion for research and affordable access to these powerful medicines. Come learn about this initiative, how we will deliver on the potential for psychedelic medicines to heal without ‘medicalizing’ them, how we will provide these therapies to all Californians in need (regardless of ability to pay), how this funding agency will be different from a typical government agency, and why decriminalization is not enough.
